9th Court of Appeals: Prop 8
Oral arguments in Perry v. Schwarzenegger, aka the Prop 8 trial, will be held before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals today at 1 pm EST, 10 am, PST.
Set C-SPAN to stun and get ready for an all out brawl, 9th court style.

And hopefully I’ll post my reax sometime today, though who knows when for sure…

It would have been nice to set up a meetup event for this and have nachos. :p Are these new arguments because one of my podcasts did an episode reading off the arguments made during a recent case. (I think it was prop 8)
The arguments weren’t really new so much as more succinct. With the exception of the questions of standing, which was a new issue altogether, but not a terribly interesting one unless the peculiarities of Federal Jurisprudence happens to catch your fancy.
Back in high school I used to watch C-span while doing chores, which makes me sound incredibly boring. :p (However, it was fun whenever Senator Byrd got up to say profound things like “I’ll have the chicken.”)
